Alice Capelli’s artistic language is characterized by a sense of fluid permeability and an affirmation of existence that, both in painting and performance, stems from the desire to leave a visible trace of her passage. 
In this artist’s style, painting thus becomes pure gesture, devoid of artefacts, in which the decision to express herself through the transparency of water and pigment allows her to delve into the intimacy of being: a poetry of interiority, but also of corporeity and the eroticism of living. 
An instinct for making art and compositional design therefore coexist peacefully behind her works, brought to fruition in a true symbiotic relationship between artist and works. 
It is consequently the artist’s entire body that paints the work, imprinting on the canvas every trace and every touch of the skin, relating directly to the pictorial surface in a cohesive interpenetration of elements. Passages that are always different, relationships that are always new, in which even the error testifies to the artistic process.
What remains of us is thus an organic remnant, a metaphorical trace, of which the earth itself or the sand here present are evidence.
