Statement:

The research is defined by fluid permeability and an affirmation of existence that, through painting, performance, and sculpture, arises from the act of leaving a visible trace of the body's passage. What remains of us is an organic remnant, a metaphorical trace, with the soil, sand, and hair themselves serving as silent and tangible witnesses to a concrete journey. These elements evoke the intimacy of a gesture that becomes memory. In this context, the performative act manifests through works that retain the marks of an authentic action. The tension between the body and its trace, between presence and absence, makes Capelli’s work a continuous and profoundly poetic exploration of being and immanence.
