BORDERLESS

Mediterranea 20 Young Artists Biennale, (Nova Gorica - Gorizia),

Curated by Tia Cicek and Misal Adnan Yıldız, promoted by BJCEM, in collaboration with GO! 2025 European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica – Gorizia and ŠKUC Association.

Ho tagliato la corda presents a terracotta chain known for its delicacy and transience. It futilely restrains a limp latex arm, which lies lifeless like a second skin or a discarded layer. This arm, devoid of life and stretched out on the floor, serves as a reminder of a presence that has vanished. The work becomes a voice for the futile search for control and possession, evoking a mixture of sensuality, eroticism, and forced violence. What remains are traces of a past moment and the heavy evidence of self-sabotage, symbolising the emotional struggle to break free from tangled and complex situations.
